Kay de Blaauw
Kay is a mixed media artist known for a modern eclectic style, use of bold colour, texture and free-flowing form. Her artistic journey began in childhood, as her family valued art and freedom of expression, and she often had a paintbrush in hand. Kay has continued experimenting, both with textiles and paint. "My formal training started with water colour and life classes with Waikato Society of Arts, progressing to modern art and abstract courses at Whitecliff. I have been experimenting with layering and mixed media as part of Printmakers Combined. I am passionate about introducing people to the joy of art."
