Kevin Kilsby

I completed a four year science degree in 1981 and began making pottery in 1985, building mainly hand built work, sculptural pieces, vessels and platters. I have used a range of techniques including inlaid porcelain, incised deigns, sgraffitto, coloured slips with resists and engobes. In 1991 pottery became my full time occupation and I began making a range of distinctively New Zealand slip decorated designs, one off pieces and outdoor art. In the early part of career I exhibited work in numerous local and national exhibitions including Fletcher Challenge National Society of Potters Waikato Society of Potters Great.
