Mandy Rodger

Mandy Rodger's paintings are characterised by spontaneous, sweeping energy flows. Exploring colour, space and the materiality of the paint itself, she creates dynamic gestures to immerse the viewer in the motion of the bold brushstrokes. Leaving a career in law, Mandy began painting in 2014 at Browne School of Art and since 2017 has worked from her central Auckland studio. She regularly showcases her pieces in solo and group exhibitions. She was selected as a double finalist in the National Contemporary Art Awards 2019 and a finalist in the National Cleveland Art Awards 2021.
