Tannya Harricks has exhibited in Sydney, NZ and Italy and has been awarded the Waverley Art Prize (2013) and Hornsby Art Prize (2012). She has exhibited as a finalist in many prominent Australian art awards. Harricks paints intuitively and without premeditation, intent on capturing the energy of the subject through spontaneous gesture. Harricks's sketches done out in the landscape are reimagined in the studio with in the manipulation of colour and form. Seductive fluidity of the brushwork and presence of the paint are employed to draw the viewer into these quintessentially Australian & NZ coastal landscapes.
