Ekaterina’s work explores complexity and the relationship between order and disorder. Complexity, organisation, and chaos seem very much part of our contemporary reality and they overlap in such a way that it is becoming increasingly difficult to apply the traditional terms of order and disorder to our experiences. In life as well as in art we have accumulated a certain distrust of universal principles, central control and reliable predictability. Instead, we are developing a growing attention to the specific, the individual and the peculiar.
Ekaterina is currently studying Master of Fine Arts at Elam.
