Michael Blewden
Michael Blewden is a contemporary artist based in Auckland. He works in the nexus of figurative and abstract painting primarily through the medium of acrylic and mixed media on board. Michael first exhibited in 1989 and has continued to exhibit in solo and group shows since this time. He undertook two years (2016, 2017) of Painting 4 at the Browne School of Art, Auckland and in 2018 completed the schools’ Visual Arts Mentoring Programme (VAMP). Since this time he has continued to develop his painting practice from his North Shore studio. His work is held in collections throughout New Zealand.
