For some years the artist has used the swimmer to represent connecting with, immersing oneself in, nature. In 2023 she has developed this imagery further, playing with reflections seen from under the water, blurring the swimmer and sea.
I aim to portray the cool, green stillness of feeling water and light wrap around you, support you; the simple, sensual delight of swimming in the sea.
