Tracey Coakley born in Melbourne, is an Auckland based artist. Completed her diploma of Visual Arts 2006, otherwise mostly self-taught. Her paintings explore the human emotions of anxiety, depression, growing up, pre-teen and understanding the transition from child to teenager and still retaining your own uniqueness. Using herself and her family as models. Her painting style shows as little brush work as possible, creating a softness to her work. Tracey was a finalist in the Cleveland National Art Awards 2019, Arts Gold Award 2019, and won the Outstanding Artist award for the 6th Hibiscus and Bays Art Awards 2019.
